Failed to download servers list. Invalid Signature

Description of issue

Error shown on the server list: “Invalid Signature.” Why it happens: Some users don’t have key caches yet at

%AppData%\SCP Secret Laboratory\internal

The central server cache (used to pick a CS server) is created too late, so keys aren’t generated in time. Restarting the game lets the key caches generate and the server list will work.

Resolutions

• Restart the game. 

• Restart the PC.

• Perform a Clean Reinstall.

If restarting the game/Pc does not work

1. Press Windows + R and open:

   %AppData%\SCP Secret Laboratory\internal\

2. Create a text file named CentralServers.txt.

3. Open it, put this single line, and save:

   GRA2

4. Rename the file to CentralServers (remove the .txt extension via Right‑click → Properties / rename).

5. Launch the game and open the server list.
