Global Ban Information
This article details the different types of Global Ban Messages / SL-AC errors that you may encounter while playing SCP:SL.

Our full Ban Policy can be found here.
Our End-User License Agreement (EULA) can be found here.
Publisher Bans
When you are globally banned for cheating or for violating the EULA, your account will be issued a Publisher Ban. You will see the message “You are globally banned for <reason>.” upon attempting to connect to a server with the “online_mode” config set to true — if you have a Publisher Ban on your account.
These bans are not revoked for any reason, unless the ban was applied falsely.
If you believe that you have not violated the EULA nor cheated, you must visit https://support.scpslgame.com/ban-appeal and fill out a ‘Ban Appeal request’ form. This must be done within 14 days of the Publisher Ban being applied, otherwise we, Northwood Studios, reserve the right to not process your appeal.
Note: This site is not for appealing server bans from our Official Discord Server. The Discord sign-in option found on the site is for appealing Global Bans issued onto Discord accounts.
Autonomous System Number Bans (ASN Bans)
To counter VPN / Proxy usage by cheaters to generate new Steam accounts, all players must meet one of the following requirements if they wish to utilise a VPN or Proxy while playing the game:
- Your Steam account level must be greater than zero (requires a Public Profile).
- Your Steam account age must be older than two months (requires a Public Profile).
- You must have had SCP: Secret Laboratory in your Steam Library for more than two weeks.
You will be met with a variation of the message: “The ASN of the Internet Service Provider you are connecting from is globally blocked (full ban) - ASN {INSERT ASN NUMBER HERE}”. if you do not meet these requirements while attempting to use a VPN or Proxy.
If your ASN is banned, but you are not using a VPN or Proxy, you must visit https://support.scpslgame.com/ban-appeal and fill out a ‘Ban Appeal request’ form.
Note: This site is not for appealing server bans from our Official Discord Server. The Discord sign-in option found on the site is for appealing Global Bans issued onto Discord accounts.
Hardware ID Spoofers
We block Hardware ID (HWID) spoofers to counter Global Ban evasions.
If you see “HWID spoofer is not allowed. Revert spoofer or reinstall your operating system”, whilst attempting to connect to a server with the “online_mode” config set to true; you will need to become whitelisted by our team in order to join.
Fill out the following information and send an email to: appeal@scpslgame.com
- Requesting Whitelist for using a spoofer on account: [Steam Username]
- SteamID64:
- Steam Profile Link:
If you are unsure on how to acquire your SteamID64, you can visit https://steamid.io/lookup, and input your Steam Profile Link there. There will then be an option to copy your SteamID64 from within the site.
Note: You should expect a response within three to seven business days. Please do not send multiple whitelist requests. If you have not received a response within three days, please consider launching your game a few times, so we may retain the necessary technical details to better process your case.
