How to access LocalAdmin log files

LocalAdmin log files are generated every time LocalAdmin is started. Depending on the LocalAdmin configuration setup, they may detail exceptions and critical errors. Ticket staff will normally ask for the log files to see if the game is spouting an error continuously, or if a major exception points towards a specific crash log.

You can procure your latest log file by completing the following steps:

Windows Instructions

  1. Open File Explorer
  2. Press the windows key + R to open a Run Dialogue.
  3. In the dialogue box, enter exactly: %appdata%\SCP Secret Laboratory\LocalAdminLogs\
  4. Press Enter
  5. Open the folder named after the troublesome server port.
  6. Now click the Date Modified column to sort the files newest-oldest.
  7. Now you can either open the newest log file to investigate the issue yourself or send it into the discord chat for us to look at :)

Linux Instructions

  1. Open your File Manager
  2. Navigate into the user running LocalAdmin (usually /home/scpsl/)
  3. Enter the .config/SCP\ Secret\ Laboratory/LocalAdminLogs folder.
  4. Enter the folder named after the troublesome server port.
  5. Sort the files by newest-oldest by clicking on the Date Modified column. This is different across many file managers unfortunately.
