VCRedist Install/Repair

If you're having odd issues such as:

• Game crashing when you spawn
• Stuck loading after NW logo
  
• Game not starting due to an installation script is running error
• Or some other weird random issue

Resolutions

Installing vc_redist.x64.exe (Latest 2022 Version)

• Download the Installer
  • https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
• Run the Installer
  • Double-click the downloaded .exe file.
  • A setup window will appear.
• Accept the License Agreement
  • Check "I agree to the license terms and conditions".
  • Click Install.
  • Or if it says its already installed, click repair.
• Wait for Installation
  • The installer will extract and install the necessary files.
  • This usually takes less than a minute.
• Restart

The guide above is for 64-bit Windows only due to our minimum requirements. If you're on 32-bit Windows, you would have to upgrade your Operating System to 64-bit.

Are you getting a "Setup Failed Error"?

You might not see a repair option and already have Visual C++ installed. If this is the case, follow these steps to remove the file.

• Go to the uninstall page

  • Go to the windows search bar and type in "Add or Remove Programs" then click open
  • Search up "Visual C++ 2015-2022" in the Search Apps bar
•  Remove All 2015-2022 C++ apps that are found
  • Click on the 3 dots next to the app and then click uninstall.
• Install Visual C++
  • Go back to the .exe file and install C++ again.
