My server is receiving a large amount of "Incoming Connection" logs!

Description of Issue

If your LocalAdmin console is littered with incoming connection logs as shown in the image below, you may be a victim of Preauth Spam attack.

Explanation

This type of attack utilizes spoofed (illegitimate) IP addresses due to the way the UDP protocol works and then sends preauthentication requests to your server using said IPs.

This attack often has little to no consequences for your Secret Lab server, or the machine it is being hosted on. In most cases, it can safely be ignored.

However, if your server has limited bandwidth it can appear to be an issue, as your server will still receive these illegitimate requests.

If this happens, you may contact your server hosting provider to try and work towards solving this issue.
