The Server list won’t load, and I’m getting an error! I’m getting an error saying “Error Unauthorized” where the servers should be!

This issue is caused by an Internet Service provider (ISP) failing to connect to SCP: SL’s central servers. In some cases, the ISP blocks Central Servers entirely.

Before continuing, please ensure that you meet the requirements to play SCP:SL. Your PC specs should match or be more powerful than the current minimum specs on steam- anything less powerful risks having issues occur simply due to your hardware not being able to keep up with SCP:SL. As well, please ensure you are on an up-to-date version of windows 8.1 or 10- Windows 11 and other operating systems are not supported at this time.

Attempt to Play SCP:SL with a VPN of your choice. ProtonVPN is a solid option for users looking for free options to test with. Should you be able to connect via a VPN, the issue lies with your internet connection - you should contact your internet provider for further assistance.
