I’m getting disconnected from servers with the error “Processing of server security was too slow”!

This issue is typically caused by a variety of factors, which vary with individual users.

Your PC specs should match or be more powerful than the current minimum specs on steam-steam. anythingAnything less powerful risks having issues occur simply due to your hardware not being able to keep up with SCP:SL. As well, please ensure you are on an up-to-date version of windows 8.1 or 10- Windows 11 and other operating systems are not supported at this time.

Resolution steps

• Perform a Clean Reinstall.
• Move the game to another drive. You can read Steam's guide here!
• Attempt to play SCP: SL with an Ethernet cable, if not already using one.
• Attempt to Play SCP:SL with a VPN of your choice. Here is our list of VPNs. Should you be able to connect via a VPN, the issue lies with your internet connection - you should contact your internet provider for further assistance.
