Resolution steps

Installing vc_redist.x64.exe & vc_redist.x86.exe (Latest 2022 Version)

These are the most recent versions (Visual Studio 2022, v17.x).

Download the Installer

For 64-bit Windows: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe For 32-bit Windows: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded .exe file. A setup window will appear. Accept the License Agreement

Check "I agree to the license terms and conditions". Click Install. Or if it says its already installed, click repair. Wait for Installation

The installer will extract and install the necessary files. This usually takes less than a minute. Restart

Installing vcredist_x64.exe & vcredist_x86.exe (Older 2015-2019 Version)

These are older versions (Visual Studio 2015-2019, v14.x), sometimes required by legacy apps.

Download the Installer For 64-bit Windows: https://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/B/16B06F60-3B20-4FF2-B699-5E9B7962F9AE/VSU_4/vcredist_x64.exe For 32-bit Windows: https://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/B/16B06F60-3B20-4FF2-B699-5E9B7962F9AE/VSU_4/vcredist_x86.exe Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded .exe file. A setup window will appear. Accept the License Agreement

Check "I agree to the license terms and conditions". Click Install. Or if it says its already installed, click repair. Wait for Installation

The installer will complete in a few seconds. Restart 

Notes

64-bit vs. 32-bit:

If you're on a 64-bit Windows, install both x64 and x86 versions (many apps need both).

If you're on 32-bit Windows, only install the x86 version.
