How to Install or Repair DirectX
This page explains how to install or repair the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) package.
- Download the Installer
- Run the Installer
- Double-click the downloaded file named directx_Jun2010_redist.exe.
When asked where to extract the files, create a new folder first (for example: C:\DirectX2010).
Select that folder and click OK.
Do not choose your Downloads folder directly, or the files will be mixed in with your other files.
- Double-click the downloaded file named directx_Jun2010_redist.exe.
- Run the Setup
- Open the folder you created and double-click DXSETUP.exe.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install DirectX.
- Open the folder you created and double-click DXSETUP.exe.
- Wait for Installation
- The installer will copy the necessary DirectX files.
This may take a few minutes depending on your system

- Restart
- Once the installation is complete, restart your computer.
