“You have been rate limited” error!

Description of issue

This issue is typically caused by clicking too fast on a given server on the Server List, but it may also be caused by other, deeper issues with the game.

Before continuing, please ensure that you meet the requirements to play SCP:SL. Your PC specs should match or be more powerful than the current minimum specs on steam- anything less powerful risks having issues occur simply due to your hardware not being able to keep up with SCP:SL. As well, please ensure you are on an up-to-date version of windows 8.1 or 10- Windows 11 and other operating systems are not supported at this time.

Resolution steps

• Perform a Clean Reinstall.
• Open your Client Console with the ( ~ ) key. Input the command “ar”, checking for green text that should appear afterwards stating “Authentication Token renewed”.
