SCP:SL crashes on launch with no popups altogether

Description of issue

This issue is typically caused by a wide variety of complimenting factors, ranging from Hardware issues, to malicious software, to issues with the game itself.

Before continuing, please ensure that you meet the requirements to play SCP:SL. Your PC specs should match or be more powerful than the current minimum specs on steam- anything less powerful risks having issues occur simply due to your hardware not being able to keep up with SCP:SL. As well, please ensure you are on an up-to-date version of Windows 11 and other operating systems are not supported at this time.

Computers that do not meet the minimum requirements often fail to start SCP:SL!

Resolution steps

• Restart your Computer to see if the issue is temporary.
• Perform a Clean reinstall of SCP:SL.
• Run a full Antivirus scan, with your software of choice.
• Verify the integrity of your Windows installation to ensure that you are not missing any necessary files. 
• Should none of the above solve the issue, there is a good chance that the issue might lie with SCP:SL itself. See below for instructions on how to access our support system, and some necessary materials you will need to gather.
