SCP:SL crashes and displays a box with a loading bar and the SCP:SL logo!

This issue is typically Referred to as a “Unity Crash” by our Support Staff, as the presence of this crash handler means that an exception was caught by Unity itself. Typically this represents an issue unrelated to the game client itself- user hardware and software issues are the common causes, but an issue with our anti-cheat solution is not out of the question either.

Before continuing, please ensure that you meet the requirements to play SCP:SL. Your PC specs should match or be more powerful than the current minimum specs on steam- anything less powerful risks having issues occur simply due to your hardware not being able to keep up with SCP:SL. As well, please ensure you are on an up-to-date version of windows 8.1 or 10- Windows 11 and other operating systems are not supported at this time.

Resolution steps

• Perform a Clean Reinstall
• Update or reinstall your Graphics card drivers by downloading the latest version form your vendor’s site.
• Perform a Windows File Integrity Violation Check.
• Restart your PC entirely.
