My game keeps crashing when it reaches 90% while loading!

Description of Issue

The issue usually happens when a user is joining a server or loading the game. The client will end up crashing when it reaches 90% in most cases.

Resolution

We have several solutions available that may be able to fix this issue:

  • Disable fullscreen optimizations
    • Open steam > Library > find "SCP: Secret Laboratory" > right click and click "Properties" > Manage > "Browse local files"
    • Right click SCPSL.exe > properties > compatibility > toggle "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations".
  • Disable windowsSCP:SL's noise cancellation
    • Open sound settings: Right click the speakergame's iconsettings in> yourAudio taskbar> andVoice selectChat Sound> SettingsNoise Suppression
    • SelectClick Recording and then select your microphone
    • Right click your microphone and select Properties
    • Look for Audio enhancements and set the dropdown menu to off"Disabled".
