My game is refusing to launch with this error: Please verify the game's integrity. Attempting to modify the game's files can result in a global ban. (file/folder name).

How to Fix the Error

1. Navigate to SCP:SL’s Game Files

   • Open Steam Library

   • Right-click on SCP: Secret Laboratory

   • Select Properties → Local Files → Browse

2. Locate and Delete the Problematic File/Folder

   • Find the file or folder mentioned in the error message.

   • Most of the time, it will be inside the SCPSL_Data folder.

   • Delete the specified file/folder.

3. Verify Game Files

   • Go back to SCP:SL’s Properties in Steam.

   • Click on Verify integrity of game files to restore any missing or corrupted files.

Once done, try launching the game again!
